- Dry Clean Only - No Exceptions: The combination of corded lace, boned bodice, taffeta skirt, and tulle underlayer makes this gown exclusively suitable for professional dry cleaning. No part of this gown should be hand washed, spot cleaned with water, or machine washed under any circumstances.
- Inform the Dry Cleaner of All Fabrics: When submitting for dry cleaning, advise the cleaner of the multi-fabric construction, lace overlay, taffeta outer skirt, tulle underlayer, and satin-lined boned bodice, so the appropriate solvents and pressing techniques are applied to each layer.
- Never Machine Press the Taffeta Skirt: Taffeta is highly susceptible to water spotting and heat marking. Only professional pressing with dry heat through a pressing cloth is acceptable. Home ironing of the skirt is strongly discouraged.
- Steam the Lace Bodice Cautiously: A handheld garment steamer held at least 8 cm from the lace surface can gently relax any light creasing in the corded lace overlay. Do not hold the steamer head against the lace, as trapped moisture can cause the cording to distort.

- Stuff the Skirt for Long-Term Storage: For storage beyond one month, lightly stuff the ball skirt with acid-free tissue paper to support the taffeta volume and prevent permanent deep fold creases from forming in the gathered skirt layers.
