- Dry Clean Recommended: The scuba-satin fabric and internal boning structure are appropriately maintained through professional dry cleaning. This preserves the fabric's surface luster and the bodice's structural integrity.
- Hand Wash as Alternative: If hand washing, use cool water and a very mild detergent. Submerge gently without wringing or twisting. Never machine wash, as agitation will distort the boning and seam lines.
- Dry Flat or Hang Cautiously: After hand washing, lay flat on a clean towel to dry. If hanging, use a padded hanger and hang from the internal hanging loops — never from the halter straps alone, as this may stretch them.
- Steam to Refresh: Use a garment steamer held at a safe distance from the satin surface to remove light creasing. The scuba-satin fabric responds well to steam without marking.
- Avoid Direct Iron Contact: If pressing is absolutely necessary, use the lowest heat setting through a pressing cloth on the reverse side. Direct ironing will permanently damage the satin finish.
